Kimberly Cude, PMP - principal and owner


Kimberly Cude is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP® Certification #43304) with more than 20 years of professional experience. Ms. Cude's career includes operational, program and project management for organizations such as Garage Games, Lane County, Symantec, Oracle, and Nike.  Her career includes leading highly diverse, globally dispersed teams on multi-million dollar initiatives, as well as implementing PMO organizations with supporting methodologies, processes, and resources.

Aside from her professional experience, Ms. Cude has provided independent project management consulting and training locally, nationally and internationally through her company, Make It Happen, LLC., which she launched in 2003 after relocating to Eugene, Oregon with her family. During her time in Eugene, she has provided Project Management training to many local organizations including Lane County, City of Eugene, City of Springfield, Eugene Water Electric Board, Symantec, and Levi Strauss.  Ms. Cude is an instructor for Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School Executive Development Center, for the Oregon State Project Management Certification Program, as well as instructor for the University of Oregon providing ongoing project management training for administrative staff and faculty..

Ms. Cude is past-President of the Eugene Branch of the Willamette Valley PMI Chapter and has served on various board roles over the last eight years, and is Past-VP Communications of the international PMI Education & Training SIG. She has presented on a range of Project Management topics locally and nationally, including the PMI North America Congress in 2004 and 2007.  Ms. Cude has authored and contributed to whitepapers and publications, as well as authored the pioneering book, Make It Happen! Project Success for Students; Parent and Teachers Guide, and its companion guide, Make It Happen! Project Workbook for Students. Ms. Cude graduated from Marylhurst University with an Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business, Science, and Communications.


julie D. smith, pmp, cms - principal project manager and partner


Julie Smith, PMP (PMP® Certification #57904), CSM is a Principal Project Manager with Make It Happen, providing project management consulting, training, and contracting services to small businesses, non-profit and public agencies in the Pacific Northwest. Ms. Smith is an instructor for Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School Executive Development Center, for the Oregon State Project Management Certification Program, as well as instructor for the University of Oregon providing ongoing project management training for administrative staff and faculty. Ms. Smith is currently serving as President for the Eugene Branch of the Willamette Valley PMI Chapter and is past VP Programs and as well as an instructor for the Chapter's PMP Exam Preparation class.

​Ms. Smith has more than 20 years of experience, including project management, systems analysis, and training for companies such as Seafirst Bank, Bank of America, HNC Software, ID Analytics, and Cardinal Health. She has managed dozens of successful software development and implementation projects in the course of her career. In 2009 she managed a project for ID Analytics to develop and launch myidscore.com that was awarded the PMI San Diego Chapter 2009 Project of the Year. Ms. Smith is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
